Our Mission: Building Community & Advancing Multicultural Behavioral Health

The Multicultural Behavioral Health Provider Network (MBHPN) is dedicated to empowering Black behavioral health professionals and practitioners of color by providing a supportive and affirming space for growth, collaboration, and advocacy. We welcome allies and all who recognize the importance of centering Black lives and advancing equity in mental health care. Our mission is to offer accessible, high-quality training, networking opportunities, and resources that address the unique challenges faced by our communities while fostering multicultural competence and social justice. Dr. Megan Pickens is the founder and host of MBHPN, specializes in empowering Black behavioral health professionals through advocacy and collaboration, with a focus on multicultural competence.

Dr. Mēgan specializes in helping HABW™ establish boundaries within all areas of life and also helps combat negative beliefs about masculinity specifically for them. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Mēgan facilitates group therapy sessions for HABW™ who have experienced trauma due to emotional abuse, family influence, or relationship trauma.
