Our Mission: Building Community & Advancing Multicultural Behavioral Health
The Multicultural Behavioral Health Provider Network (MBHPN) is dedicated to empowering the Global Majority—Black, Brown, Indigenous, Asian, and other marginalized communities—while recognizing and embracing the complexity of intersectionality. We welcome Black behavioral health professionals, practitioners of color, and allies who understand that identities are multifaceted and intersect in ways that shape individual experiences, particularly when it comes to race, gender, sexuality, ability, and more.
Our mission is to provide a supportive and affirming space for growth, collaboration, and advocacy, where individuals are empowered to navigate the unique challenges of their intersecting identities. We offer accessible, high-quality training, networking opportunities, and resources that foster multicultural competence and social justice. Through intentional programming and community engagement, MBHPN creates an inclusive environment where professionals can thrive, share knowledge, and advocate for equitable mental health care that is responsive to the diverse and complex realities of the Global Majority.
